Genie Plus has now been out at WDW for just over a week. As expected both Cast Members and guests are still becoming adjusted to its use.
If you are at Walt DIsney World and have any questions about Genie Plus, look for a blue umbrella and a member of the Guest Experience team. They are going to be your best resource to answer any questions about Genie Plus.
I wanted to point out two observations from friends I have seen on social media:
- At the end of your Genie Plus purchase, there will be a small sum of sales tax added to the purchase price. Don’t be shocked when your total is not an even amount. It does not matter if you are from another state or an international visitor. All guests paying for Genie Plus are subject to the sales tax.
2. There is still a grace period if you are a little early or a little late to your booked lightning lane time slot. At present it sits at a one-hour mark. Though it is worth mentioning that at the end of the day, Cast Members have the final discretion as to how to treat a situation.
