Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge Reservations Open May 2

Tomorrow is May 2 and that means no-cost reservations for visitors to Disneyland’s Galaxy Edge new Star Wars themed land officially open tomorrow at 10am Pacific time.

What Does This Mean?

If you are planning to visit Disneyland between May 31 and June 23, there is no way to enter the new land without a free reservation. The only other option available to obtain a reservation was to book a hotel reservation at one of the 3 Disneyland Resort Hotel properties during this time.

You will need to have a free Disney account in order to make your reservations. When 10 am hits in the morning, those reservation slot are going to go at lightning speed. Ensure you have your account created ahead of time by visiting Disney’s official website here.

You should know that reservations will be in 4 hour increments. You will not be able to stay in the land longer than that due to the expected capacity of the land. You also will need to keep in mind that admission is always subject to availability. Disneyland may close the land if there are any technical issues or safety issues even if you have a reservation.

Lastly, you will have to be aware that you need to know the exact date you are going to Disneyland. Be flexible and grab whichever slots are available. This will serve you the best chance of obtaining a coveted slot.

Where to Make Reservations

There are going to be directions posted at 8am Pacific Time on May 2 in 2 places, Disneyland.com and the Disney Parks Blog. Ensure you are diligent and read about the reservation process before 10am. I’m going to venture an educated guess that you will need to be logged into your Disney account and be logged into Disneyland’s website. I do not think the app is going to be open for reservations. I can be wrong.

Hope this helps you! I’ll have more details once the directions and process for making reservations are officially announced. One last word of advice is to ensure you are only going to the official Disney websites to make the reservation! Until next time, may the force be with you!
